REGISTRATION INFO FOR 2009-10
Churchill Wrestling Club 2009-2010 Registration Options
In an effort to keep fees low we have our wrestlers participate in 2 fundraisers: Lancer letter challenge and the Wrestlathon.

The following forms should be downloaded and filled out for every wrestler prior to 1^st practice:

1)Interval History form
2)Liability Waiver form
3)Mentorship form (optional and only for 6-8 graders)
4)Club Expectations form

For detailed info on practices, competitions, and special events click on “club schedule. Beginning 5th> graders may elect to join either the K-4 group or the more demanding 5-8 group.

K-4
1^st day of practice and registration Tuesday, October 20, 5:45pm Churchill HS wrestling room

Registration fee is $50 which includes: club t-shirt

7 weeks of practice and competitions

Wrestling shoes are suggested and red shorts are required.

K-8 Advanced

Those more advanced wrestlers who wish to compete in USA sanctioned tournaments will need to purchase a USA card at http://www.usawmembership.com/ as part of the churchill wrestling club prior to practicing.

Total registration fees for these wrestlers is $150 and in addition to the other benefits it includes:

Wrestler Excel at Regionals
A great job by our CWC wrestlers at Western Regionals in Pocatello
June 16-21.  Most wrestled all 3 tournaments with the following results:
Riley J - midget 80 lbs 1st in greco and freestyle, 2nd folkstyle
Derrick T - novice 60 lbs 1st folkstyle, 3rd freestyle, 4th greco
Joseph Jones - novice 130 lbs 1st freestyle, 2nd greco, didn't wrestle folkstyle
Jesse Fine - schoolboy 70 lbs 4th folkstyle
Joe Potts - schoolboy 98 lbs 6th greco (over 40 in his weight class)
Zac Brunson - cadet 130 lbs 1st in freestyle and folkstyle, 2nd in greco
Dakota Tollen - cadet 145 lbs 6th freestyle
Trevor Davis - cadet 171 lbs 5th in folkstyle and freestyle, 6th in greco

Riley, Derrick, and Zac won triple crown awards!!
Others participating included novice Jorrin Ishihara, schoolboys Josh Merrill, Max
Earp-Thomas, JR Pascual, and DJ Ishihara.  Cadets Russell Pascual.

After wrestling we stopped in Boise to have a blast at Roaring Springs water
park and go carts, laser tag, and mini golf at Boondocks.  All those who
wrestled expect to return next year.

Riley Jaramillo Wins National Title!
Zac Brunson is a force on the Oregon Middle School Team at Middle School
Nationals.  Zac was the only wrestler for his team to go undefeated and won
outstanding wrestler as Team Oregon placed 4th in the Nation.

Riley Jaramillo and Zac Brunson shared the mat at Asics USAW Folkstyle Nationals in Iowa.  Riley, in a bracket of
19 of our nation's best, came home with 1st place as National Champion in the
Midget 80 division!  Zac, after being down 11-1 in the first round of his first
match came back, but lost 13-11.  He then went on to win his next 8 matches to
place 3rd out of 49 cadets in the 130 lb division!!  Way to go guys!  Hard work
makes dreams come true!
